To ME!
Happy First Birthday. I have decided to stop adding the years together and celebrate my birthdays as if they were my first. I stopped acting my age long ago, so why keep track? (BTW it’s 56 this year.) The number does not bother me, after all, it’s just a number. When I think of it, it amazes me. Where did all that time go?
After “reading” (listening) to The Secret for the last 3 or 4 weeks I have decided to stop listening to society. My bones do not creak, because I am grateful that I am youthful. Through the power of positive thinking I have had an awesome few weeks. People are nicer to me, work is less stressful. I feel healthy. And I am definitely happier.
Last night Tom & I went over to JessaLu‘s and Roger’s for dinner & cake. She gave me a beautiful skein of Brooks Farm Duet Kid Mohair & Fine Wool 500 yards in a very pretty pink, purple and green. I’ll have to look at patterns on Ravelry but I’m thinking maybe a shawl. The sun actually peaked out of the clouds for a few minutes and I took a couple of pictures.
I have been knitting. My Vesper Sock has gotten a little longer since I took this picture.
And I am trying to knit 2 socks at one on a pair of double pointed needles.
The week before Father’s day JessaLu & Roger brought over a wide screen tv for us, in exchange for our smaller set. That night Tom’s eye started to bother him and he insisted that it was the TV. So he went to the eye doctor’s the next day, he had an eye infection. TV had nothing to do with it. We have found that we prefer to watch it in regular mode and not stretched. We don’t have the High Definition receiver, and might not get it just yet. I’ll have to look into it to see how much more a month it is. There’s not a lot of Nascar season left, so maybe I’ll wait til next February. The fan on it is a little loud, but hey, it’s a free TV, I can live with it. And the it has stereo sound. Makes it a lot easier to hear and not have to crank up the sound.
Well the Birthday Girl has to go to work. I hope everyone has as great a day as I will have! Happy Knitting!

Happy Birthday, Mom! :o)
Happy Birthday!!!
Happy Birthday to you! Enjoy! And the new TV is a stunner. I finally managed to find the hi-def stations on my TV and am amazed by the picture quality. Most of me is still young, but my eyes seem old. I needs me some hi-def…
Happy Birthday!!! What beautiful yarn that is; I can’t wait to see what it becomes.
Happy Birthday!!! ITA w/you on the numbers thing. It’s weird to be this old because it sure doesn’t feel old, but it’s also somewhat of a wonder.
BTW, I love Tom’s reasoning for getting a new TV. If only he had been right! But at least he had the infection diagnosed and hopefully cleared it up.
I missed your birthday. Hope it was a happy one. You’re right it’s just a number. But I hate when my body feels how high the number is getting (I hit 60 in January) and screams obscenities at me
