I went with Tom to a car show today in Saratoga Springs, NY. I have been to car shows with him before. But this is the first time people started crowding around the car before it was even parked! One of the cool things was that people knew what kind of car it is. They knew that it was an Austin Healey Bug Eye Sprite. It’s a 1959. usually people would come up to the car, look at it and ask what it is. These people knew. I’m still amazed.
Here’s a picture of “Tom’s little car”
The ride home was not a whole lot of fun. It was raining. We did put the top on before we left. And we left early. It was a cold ride to get there in the morning, and a cold and wet ride home in the afternoon. We were at the stop light in Hillsdale, NY and some guy yelled out his window – “Are you having fun?” I yelled back “YES”. Heck, he was in a mini van, I was in a (almost) 50 year old British sports car. The rain and cold makes it even more fun.
I brought BYOB with me and worked on it. I had to frog a couple of rows, I’m working on the lacy part. I keep screwing it up, and no I can’t just leave it. The pattern is really simple. I really can’t figure out why I keep messing it up.
Well it’s going to be an early night. There have been 2 nights I’ve been up until 1 or later. Tomorrow is a work day, and I really should try to be there on time.
Have a nice evening and Happy Knitting.

I always say I don’t like car shows until I get to one. Then I’m all excited and acting like I know what I’m talking about…
Love the Austin Healey! What a great little car!!
someday I’ll get to drive that little car…. especially if Daddy wants that scooter.
Nice little car! And I don’t usually go out of my way to go to car shows but if we happen by one, we stop, look and get all excited. Funny.
Cute car!
Did you get to work on time?
