The goose is getting fat. Please put a penny in the old man’s hat.
I love that Christmas Song.
Well, I got brave yesterday and went forth and Christmas Shopped! That is a big step for me. Many years ago I was out on Christmas Eve and had an auto accident. An older woman ran a red light and ran into me. I was driving a Bronco II and she had a small red car. Needless to say, she suffered a lot more damage than I did. But, it has left it’s “scars” on me. I really, really, really don’t like to drive in “Holiday Traffic”. But yesterday, I did. And I got everything done I went out to do.
I did have a little giggle at myself when I pulled into a grocery store parking lot and “discovered” I was at the wrong supermarket. I laughed and wrote down my list. Called Jess to see if she needed anything, and drove to the store I wanted to go to. As it was, I ended up having to go to the “wrong” store after all to get beer. After I checked out and was outside I discovered that I had picked up bottles and not cans. But that all worked out for the best. One of the people drinking the beverage preferred his beer in a glass bottle. (Sometimes I think I’m psycho physic.)
With one (or two) more stops I was headed home. (Without any physical contact with any other vehicle.)
Last night we went over to dinner at JessaLu‘s and RR’s. We had a delicious ham dinner. (My daughter cooks like her father. Which is a very good thing.) And got to visit with RR’s family. The oldest nephew and DH had a good time chatting about squirrels. Evidently, where the young man lives, they have Neon Pink squirrels. (Thanks to the aid of the application of a little paint from a paintball gun.) I have not heard DH laugh so hard in a while. Then they started sharing stories. One of my favorites is when DH as a young boy took a sheet and climbed to the roof (2 stories up) and jumped off with his “parachute”. By the time he was old enough to do that his Mom was “numb” from all of his escapades. Nothing phased her by then.
Christmas presents have arrived in the mail. (I’ll have to let you know about them after Christmas.) And I found the “perfect” gift for hubby. I don’t know if I can wait 2 more days, but we’ll have to.
I didn’t knit one stitch yesterday. But then, I don’t do Christmas Knitting. Too much pressure. That and I’m a selfish knitter.
Well, the days are ticking away. I sure do hope that JessaLu writes about her “advent calendar”. We all got a big kick out of it. I hope she does it again next year.
Off to do some gift wrapping. Hope everyone stays warm and dry (it’s raining here. There better be a White Christmas or there will be a lot of disappointed skiers around here.)
Happy Knitting.

Sounds like you are more than ready for the big day. Merriest of Christmases to you and yours!
